FlyLady’s XL Mop comes with the XL Mop Head with one XL Chenille Mop Cloth (dual sided; pick the side that works best for the task at hand) attached to it and the extendable Handle. Additional XL Chenille Mop Cloths are available to purchase, as well.
This XL Mop with its extra-large head is both a time saver, and a money saver. It covers more of an area in one rotation, and the XL Chenille Mop Cloth is removable, replaceable and washable. No repeated expense of purchasing disposable mop cloths, and no additional waste.
This is yet another better and greener way to help us BLESS OUR HOMES.
The FlyLady Handle when fully extended is 52 and 1/2 inches long. This Handle fits the FlyLady Mop Head, Rubba Sweepa Broom Head, Multi-Wand and the XL Mop Head. The Handle attaches to the Mop Heads via a compression collar which can be found on the Mop Heads themselves. The threads at the bottom of the Handle are for attaching the Rubba Sweepa Broom Head and the Multi-Wand.
The mop head is 6 inches wide and 15.5 inches long. There are spring-loaded clamps on either side of the XL Mop Head, as well as a line of Velcro on either side, to hold the XL Chenille Mop Cloth firmly in place.
The XL Chenille Mop Cloth is (approximately) 11.5 inches by 15.75 inches and offers a cleaning surface of approximately 6 inches by 15.5 inches (you have approximately 3 inches of cloth on each side that gives you plenty to place on the Velcro and then clamp down). It is reversible (one side has the chenille "fingers" and one side has soft microfibers). It works well to detail dust mop, detail wet mop, or to do a "quick" maintenance dust mop or damp mop. When you're finished, you take the XL Chenille Mop Cloth off of the XL Mop Head and wash it in the washing machine, and dry it in your dryer (no fabric softeners), or hang to dry.
The XL Mop is wonderful for sealed hardwood floors, laminate floors, linoleum, ceramic and marble tile, as well as on shower walls, bathtub surrounds, vinyl siding, etc. (we're still discovering places to use it, lol!).Laundering Instructions: Machine wash, warm or cold water - absolutely NO fabric softener (or you can hand wash). Machine dry, medium or low heat - absolutely NO fabric softening dryer sheets (or you can hang to air dry).
